Ode to Earth: A Plea for Preservation

image

Inthe cradle of the cosmos vast,

Where stars and planets drift and dance,

There lies a gem, our Earth, so vast,

A world of life, by chance, or planned. Her oceans breathe, her forests sing,

With every creature, great and small,

From eagle's flight to bee’s small wing,

A tapestry, she holds us all.The mountains rise, the rivers flow,

Through valleys green and deserts wide,

Her bounty endless, gifts bestowed,

In Earth’s embrace, we all reside. But now a shadow looms so near,

A threat to all that once was pure,

The Earth cries out, her voice we hear,

A plea for help, her wounds to cure. Her skies once blue, now tinged with gray,

The air we breathe, a poisoned veil,

Her seas, once clear, now choked with clay,

And creatures die, where once they sailed. The forests fall, the deserts spread,

The polar ice, it melts away,

Her beating heart, it fills with dread,

For what will come if we betray.Yet hope remains, a glimmer bright,

Within our hands, the power lies,

To turn the tide, to set things right,

To heal the Earth, beneath our skies. For every tree we plant anew,

For every stream we cleanse and clear,

A promise made, a vow so true,

To shield the world we hold so dear. The future rests within our grasp,

The choice is ours, to lose or save,

To let the Earth slip from our clasp,

Or rise to act, bold and brave. For in her soil, our roots run deep,

In every breath, we share her grace,

To cherish her, our souls to keep,

For every child, each future face.Preserve her seas, her lands, her skies,

For generations yet to be,

So they may see with wonder’s eyes,

The beauty of this world, still free.Let not our greed, our careless ways,

Erase the life that she sustains,

For in the end, the Earth repays,

With love or loss, with joy or pain.So let us stand, as stewards true,

Protect the Earth with heart and hand,

For she is us, and we are too,

A part of her, this sacred land.Together, we can turn the page,

A brighter dawn, a greener day,

For Earth, our home, in every age,

Deserves our care, in every way.Her song is ours, her pain, our own,

Her joy, the light within our soul,

Preserve her well, for we have grown,

And in her keeping, we are whole.Let this be known, in heart and mind,

Our duty clear, our mission pure,

To leave no trace of harm behind,

And through our love, her life ensure. Thus ends the plea, this humble verse,

A call to all who tread this Earth,

To treasure her, for better or worse,

And honor her, for all she’s worth.
