Climate Action!

Short Story

Climate Action!

Srinika Mathur

In the heat, polar ice melts away,

Creating a pool of water,

On it, a polar bear starts to sway,

It's called Global Warming!

It's raining here, away from the tropic,

There's a drought there in the rainforest!

This isn't a mere topic,

We have to save Earth!

Climate change causes wildfires,

Raging huge, angry and greedily,

Grab that extinguisher! Put down the fire!

Be quick about it, quick!

Our planet's dying, fading,

And it's all our fault,

And, that means, Earth needs saving,

Let's help her fast!

Let's plant more trees,

Let's cycle and walk to school,

Let's welcome that breeze,

Let's blend in with the world!

Let's accept and respect the weather,

Let's help people and animals in drought,

Let's take care of seeds as light as a feather!

Let's work together, and save Earth.

Let's stop climate change,

Let's work together,

Let's respect the weather, be it so strange,

Let's stop cutting trees!

As short as this poem may be,

It's meaning's of a thousand words,

It helps many people see.

And it may help you too.

So, let's work together,

And save Earth and weather.
